Azzy Paints/Manx Trials Club Pre 65 & Twin Shock trial Round 1

Round 1 of the Azzy Paints/Manx Trials Club Pre 65 & Twin Shock trial took place at Tholt y Will plantation on Good Friday. The perfect weather led to an excellent turn out of 26 competitors who enjoyed 3 laps of 8 varied and tricky natural sections. Section one caused the most problems with a climb up a bank over a very slippery log, down a bank and over yet another slippery log. Michael Owen won the T/S class with an impressive ride on his Majesty dropping only two marks. Graham Thomas was second with a loss of 13 marks to beat Sammy Ball on the number of cleans. Pre 65 winner Shaun Huxley dropped seven marks after a costly three on section one with Colin Scarffe hot on his heels losing 9 marks. The T/S youth class proved to be a hard battle with the win going to Oliver Megson over Jordan Birchall with a loss of two marks to four. Many thanks go to the land owners and observers.
