The fourth round of the Manx Trials Club Championship took place at Dhoon Quarry in bright, sunny
conditions on Sunday morning over four laps of eight sections for all classes.
In the Expert class Chris Madigan had a fantastic ride on the tricky rock sections of this "No Stop" trial,
incurring only one 5 on the testing sections. Michael Jackson just pipped Wayne Wardell for second spot.
In the hotly contested Clubman class, Damian Owen took the win from Ed Duggan and Olly Megson who
were separated by only one mark.
Tiger Cub mounted, Colin Scarffe, posted the lowest score of the day riding the slightly easier route
in the Pre-65 class dropping only seven marks. Jim Davidson finished runner up in this class
having a good ride now that his bike is finally sorted!
Buddy Yeardsley found the long drive from Laxey well worth his while when he claimed the win in the
Twinshock class from SWM mounted, Dave Megson. Geoff Griffiths took the final podium place
claiming he could have gone better but didn't want to damage the paintwork on his immaculate Fantic!
Craig Norrey had a good ride in the Youth Expert class on the tough sections, producing a ride that
would have placed him second in the Adult class.
In the Youth Novice class, Brandon Bailey went well, losing only 18 marks. Aaron Molyneux,
once again, made good progress and pushed Brandon all the way. A gutsy performance by Aaron Peniata
secured him the third podium spot.
Thanks go to the small band of observers who turned out and made the event a success.
