The fifth round of the Manx Trials Club Championship 2011 was held on Mad Sunday at Dhoon Quarry. Four laps of eight sections were contested in bright sunny conditions.
In the Expert Class Chris Madigan rode extremely well, but expected to settle for second place until Josh Brain had a five on the last lap which cost him the win.
In the Clubman class, winner, Olly Megson went round for a loss of nine marks, but was hard pressed by Club Chairman, Juan Readshaw, on his ageing Twinshock Yamaha, with Michael Cannan claiming the final podium spot only three marks behind.
The Twinshock Class saw multiple TT winner, Mick Grant, taking the honours just pipping Manx Grand Prix winner, Buddy Yeardsley by three marks, with Honda mounted, Graham Thomas a further 2 marks adrift.
Committee Members, Colin Scarffe and Roy Wilson onboard their Triumph Cubs battled it out with Colin taking the win dropping only two marks with Roy on four. Dave Haynes onboard his big Triumph Twin also rode very well in third spot.
Sportsman Class winner, Richard Skillicorn, rode well to fend off ex sidecar man, Neville Jewell, with Dave Megson a close third.
