Azzy Paints Championship 5th Round
Nine challenging sections were marked out for
Sunday's fifth round of the Azzy Paints sponsored championship at South
Barrule Quarry. The poor weather kept the numbers down and made the sections
much harder on the loose rocks. The slippery climb on section five proved
particularly difficult.
Stephen Collins and Wayne Wardell both finished
on six marks lost. Collins Cub was well suited to the slippery conditions
while Wardells's Bultaco gave him a scare refusing to start for ten minutes
then ran faultlessly for the rest of the trial!
Many thanks go to the brave observers for
turning out in the torrential rain!
