The second round of the Azzy Paints sponsored Pre 65 and Twin shock trial took place at Axenfell on Good Friday. Thirty-five riders signed on and enjoyed excellent weather for the first lap of eight sections, rain showers throughout the afternoon made conditions very tricky.
Michael Owen dropped just five marks on his Triumph Cub to win the trial overall. A climb over slippery rocks on section two proved costly for Michael where he dropped a three. Only one mark behind in the Pre 65 class was Phil Readshaw with a loss of six and hot on his heels Stephen Collins with a loss seven a five on section one proved to be his undoing.
The twin shock class was a very close fought battle between brothers Neil and Graham Christian, Juan Readshaw and Sean Quaye. Neil and Juan both had a loss of seven marks with Neil taking the win with most cleans. Graham Christian on eight marks pushed Sean Quaye, also on eight, to third with most cleans.
